A Legal Disclaimer

Your privacy on the internet is important to us. We respect your right to privacy and your right to view and update the personal information which we hold about you. We are committed to protecting your privacy when you visit our sites or contact us in any way. We will only deal with your personal information in accordance with the Privacy Act and this privacy policy. 

 

When we say ‘personal data’ we mean identifiable information about you, like your name, email, address, telephone number, bank account details, payment information, support queries, community comments and so on. If you can’t be identified (for example, when personal data has been aggregated and anonymised) then this notice doesn’t apply. We may need to update this notice from time to time. Where a change is significant, we will contact our customers to let them know via email.

Platform Use

Use the platform only for its intended purpose — collaborating on projects. Do not attempt to copy, reverse-engineer, or build a competing product using the platform. Do not try to circumvent any security or access controls.

Chat and forum interactions

  • Only registered users can post in forums or chat with other users

  • Keep content honest and respectful — nothing false, misleading, defamatory, abusive, or harassing

  • Don't share other people's personal information beyond the purpose it was given to you

  • No spam, unsolicited advertising, or promotional content unless Geo AR has approved it

  • Don't imply your content is endorsed or sponsored by Geo AR or DevforGov.

  • Never post or transmit malicious software or harmful code.

Your content

  • Make sure anything you post doesn't infringe on someone else's intellectual property

  • Geo AR/DevforGov can edit or remove content it considers inappropriate.

Privacy

Geo AR/DevforGov collects location data and usage analytics — you can turn off location tracking in your device settings. Your personal information is handled in line with New Zealand's Privacy Act 2020.
